Do you use Hetzner Cloud infrastructure?

Yes. All servers are hosted in Hetzner’s highly secure data centers located in Germany, Finland, the USA, and Singapore. However, all billing, management, and customer relations are handled entirely by SosyoHost.

How long does it take for my server to activate after purchase?

Once payment is completed, the installation process starts automatically. Your server is usually ready within 1–3 minutes.

Which operating systems can I install?

During or after setup, you can choose from Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, CentOS, or upload your own ISO image.

Can I add an SSH key?

Yes. You can add an SSH Public Key during or after setup for secure login access.

How can I manage my server?

All management actions can be performed from your SosyoHost Client Panel > Service Details. You can Start, Stop, Reset Password, Rebuild, take Snapshots, manage Backups, and mount/unmount ISOs — all fully automated.

If I shut down my server, will I still be billed?

Yes. Even if the server is powered off, the resources remain reserved for you. Billing continues until the service is permanently deleted.

Can I rebuild or delete my server?

Yes. You can use the “Rebuild” option to reinstall your server with a new OS, or delete it completely.

Can I upgrade my package?

Yes. From your client panel, you can use the Upgrade Package option to switch to a higher plan instantly.

Can I purchase additional IP addresses?

Yes. You can buy and manage additional Floating IPs, and even move them between servers when needed.

Can I edit my PTR (Reverse DNS) record?

Yes. You can edit PTR records directly from your client panel — especially useful if you’re running mail servers.

How does the Backup system work?

If the Backup add-on is enabled, you can view your automatic backups, create manual backups, and restore instantly with one click.

What is a Snapshot?

A snapshot is a manual save of your server’s current state. You can restore it later to return your system to that exact moment.

Is console access available?

Yes. You can open a KVM Console connection directly from your panel for full server access.

Where are the servers hosted?

Servers are hosted in Hetzner data centers located in Germany, Finland, Ashburn (VA), Hillsboro (OR), and Singapore.

Do the servers include DDoS protection?

Yes. Hetzner’s infrastructure includes built-in hardware DDoS protection, automatically shielding all servers from large-scale attacks.

Can deleted Backups or Snapshots be recovered?

No. Once a Backup or Snapshot is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Always make sure to keep your important data secured.

How can I switch to a different plan?

You can use the Upgrade Package option in your client panel or open a support request for a manual upgrade.

Are the servers GDPR-compliant?

Yes. All data is stored according to EU GDPR regulations, and you can generate an official DPA (Data Processing Agreement) if needed.

Do you provide technical support for server management?

No. SosyoHost only provides the infrastructure and automation. Software installation, configuration, or management support is not offered — all actions can be done automatically via the client panel.

Can I choose a different server location?

Yes. During order setup, you can select among Germany, Finland, the USA, or Singapore data centers.

Can I install custom software or control panels?

Yes. You have full root access and may install any control panel or software you like — such as cPanel, Plesk, aaPanel, or Webuzo.

Are there any traffic limits or restrictions?

Each location includes a defined traffic quota. If you exceed the limit, additional bandwidth fees may apply.

Are the servers shared or dedicated?

VPS servers share physical resources but run in fully isolated environments. Dedicated servers are 100% private and reserved for you.

What determines the performance of my server?

Servers use modern AMD, Intel, and NVMe SSD hardware, ensuring high I/O performance and ultra-low latency.

How can I access my server remotely?

You can connect via SSH for Linux servers or RDP (Remote Desktop) for Windows servers. Login credentials are available in your client panel once setup is complete.

When is the invoice generated?

The invoice is automatically generated at the start of the billing period. If not renewed by the due date, the service will be suspended.

Can I suspend my server temporarily?

No. Since resources are continuously allocated, only delete or rebuild operations are available.

What happens if there’s a hardware failure?

Hetzner infrastructure uses RAID protection. In the event of hardware failure, your data is automatically migrated to another node to maintain integrity.

Are IP addresses static?

Yes. Each server receives a fixed IPv4 address. Additional IPv6 or extra IPs can be added upon request.

Does my service renew automatically?

Yes. You’ll receive renewal notifications before expiration. If not renewed, the system automatically suspends and later deletes the server.

Will my server be deleted immediately after expiration?

According to Hetzner’s policy, servers can be deleted automatically as soon as the service expires. SosyoHost adds a 2-day grace period for safety, but this is not guaranteed. Please renew on time.

Will I receive renewal reminders before expiration?

Yes. The system sends email and SMS notifications before your service expires. However, because Hetzner’s policy is immediate deletion, renewal should be done without delay.

Can I recover my data after the service expires?

No. Once Hetzner deletes an expired server, recovery is impossible. To avoid data loss, enable Backups or Snapshots beforehand.

How can I prevent my server from being deleted?

Simply renew your service before it expires. Make sure to monitor your panel notifications and expiration emails carefully.

If I miss the renewal deadline, is my server permanently deleted?

Yes. Once deleted, servers cannot be restored. SosyoHost applies a short 2-day buffer, but this is not guaranteed — timely renewal is essential.
