What is a CAX Shared Ampere vCPU Server?

The CAX series are high-performance, energy-efficient virtual servers powered by Ampere® Altra ARM-based CPUs from Hetzner. Optimized for modern cloud workloads and developers.

How long does activation take?

Once payment is completed, installation begins automatically, and your server is usually ready within 1–3 minutes.

What does Ampere vCPU mean?

Ampere® Altra CPUs use an ARM-based architecture, offering high performance with lower power consumption — ideal for cloud-native applications.

What’s the difference between CAX, CX, and CPX servers?

CAX uses ARM CPUs, while CX and CPX use Intel and AMD processors. CAX servers are optimized for energy efficiency and modern ARM-compatible applications.

Can I manage my server via the client panel?

Yes. From SosyoHost Client Panel > Service Details, you can Start, Stop, Reset Password, Rebuild, create Snapshots, manage Backups, and handle ISOs easily.

What type of storage do CAX servers use?

All CAX servers run on NVMe SSD RAID10 storage, ensuring fast performance and low latency.

Which operating systems are supported on ARM architecture?

ARM-compatible OS options like Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora are available. Supported systems are shown during the order process.

Are Snapshot and Backup features available?

Yes. You can take manual snapshots or set up automated backups directly from your client panel.

Do CAX servers include DDoS protection?

Yes. Advanced Hetzner DDoS protection is active by default and free of charge.

Can I connect via SSH or RDP?

Yes. SSH is supported for Linux systems. RDP is available for compatible Windows ARM editions.

Can I purchase extra IPs for my CAX server?

Yes. You can buy Floating IPs and assign them between your CAX servers.

Who are CAX servers best suited for?

Developers running API backends, test environments, or cloud-native ARM applications benefit the most from CAX servers.

Will I be billed if the server is turned off?

Yes. Billing continues as long as the resources remain allocated to your account.

Do you provide technical support?

No. The system is fully automated. Software or OS-level support is not provided, but full control is available through the client panel.

What happens when my CAX server expires?

You’ll receive renewal emails and SMS alerts before expiration. However, per Hetzner’s policy, expired servers may be deleted immediately. SosyoHost applies a 2-day grace period but cannot guarantee recovery.
