Using the cPanel Client Interface in Reseller Hosting

Reseller cPanel Usage

cPanel is the client-side control panel that allows your hosting customers to manage their websites, emails, and databases easily. Each account created via WHM gets its own isolated cPanel access.

1. Logging into cPanel

https://yourdomain.com:2083

or your branded access URL:

https://panel.yourbrand.com:2083

Login credentials are provided from your WHM panel when creating the account.

2. File Management

  • File Manager: Upload, edit, or delete web files.
  • FTP Accounts: Set up FTP access for remote file management.
  • Backup: Create full or partial backups easily.

3. Email Management

  • Create and manage email accounts.
  • Set up autoresponders and forwarders.
  • Enable spam filtering for secure communication.

4. Database Management

  • MySQL Databases: Create and manage databases and users.
  • phpMyAdmin: Edit or export database tables.

5. Domain and DNS Settings

  • Create subdomains (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com).
  • Edit DNS records (A, MX, CNAME, TXT).

6. Security Settings

  • SSL/TLS: Manage HTTPS certificates.
  • IP Blocker: Restrict unwanted IP addresses.
  • Directory Privacy: Protect folders with passwords.

7. Performance and Statistics

  • Awstats: View visitor and traffic reports.
  • Resource Usage: Monitor CPU, RAM, disk, and bandwidth.

8. Password & Security Updates

Users can change their cPanel password under Preferences → Password & Security. Use a strong password for maximum protection.

Note: Each cPanel account on SosyoHost operates in an isolated environment to ensure performance and security for all resellers.
