How to Set Up Email Forwarders and Auto Responders in Cpanel

Cpanel Logo

Cpanel Email Forwarders and Auto Responders allow you to automate your email communications efficiently. You can redirect incoming emails or automatically reply to them with preset messages.

1. Log in to Cpanel

Visit https://yourdomain.com:2083 and log in. Under the “Email” section, select “Forwarders” or “Autoresponders”.

2. Create an Email Forwarder

Click “Add Forwarder” and fill in the required fields:

  • Address: The original email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com)
  • Destination: The address to forward messages to (e.g., support@yourdomain.com)

Click “Add Forwarder” to save. Now all incoming emails will automatically be redirected to the target address.

3. Create an Auto Responder

Click “Add Autoresponder” and complete the form:

  • From: Sender name (e.g., SosyoHost Support)
  • Subject: Email subject (e.g., Your Request Has Been Received)
  • Body: Response message content (e.g., Your request has been successfully received. We’ll get back to you shortly.)

Once saved, Cpanel will automatically reply to incoming messages using this template.

4. Tip: Set Time Intervals

You can specify start and end dates for auto responders — a great option during holidays or maintenance periods.

5. Test Before Use

After configuration, send a test email to confirm that both forwarding and auto responses are functioning correctly.

Note: Make sure your spam filters and MX records are properly configured to avoid delivery issues.
